It was built in 1916-1917 by architect James Sarsfield Kennedy for shipping magnate Howard E. Jones and his wife Jessie. This house has official name: The Howard E. and Jessie Jones House or "The Mushroom House", "The Hansel & Gretel House", "The Witch House". The house consists of 6 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, full basement (totaling 5,743-square-feet) and made from uncut stone.
